How much money should I bring to Canada? Is moving with a large sum a risk?

Hi,

I have recently submitted my profile under express entry (PNP Outland(Ontario) - AOR - 20th July 2021). I know its too early to even think about PPR/COPR or moving to canada, but this question is bugging me since I created my profile.

I have a few friends who have settlled in Canada, and they have told me that any money that I bring when I first enter canada is tax free.

Now suppose I have $100k (USD) in savings that I have accumalated in the last 10 years. Should I think about moving everthing to canada? or should I leave let's say 50% in India and bring the rest.

I'm single, and all my savings are in stocks/mutual funds/FDs etc. I don't have anything invested in real estate.

I have never been to canada, so I'm worried if I'll like it or not.
