How much is enough?

Hi, i will be moving to Canada as a temporary worker this March. I would like to ask as to how much money should i bring to support myself during my first few days in canada. Is 1k cad or 2k cad enough? . Thanks all,

Are u gonna have accomodation already? R u gonna live with friends or family? Coz 1k is enough actually too much. Coz when u arrive here in canada the first thing you'll gonna buy would be a bus pass or bus ticket (cost will be depending which province you will be in but it wont cost a lot) to go to canada place and apply for sin card which is free. U can buy some groceries too for 50$ or less.

You made me smile because i remembered when i came in here in 2009 i even have cup noodles and crackers in my luggage coz im afraid i would get hungry. Lol!

I will be staying over at my uncle's house in alberta. I was planning to buy some groceries and some warm clothes there, hope my money is enough. I wouldnt want to end up borrowing some cash with my folks. Thanks for the advise,

i think you should take 10 thousand dollar with you not for spending just show to immigartion officer on canada airport to prove that you have sufficient funds to support yourself sometime they may ask you for a tc or cash money for supporting funds which we shows on that time when we apply for work visa which is ten thousand canadain dollar.i am not 100 per sure plzz double check with other and let me know as well
