I am in India and my wife is working in Canada on closed work permit.
We have a 5 month old son and our marriage is 5 and a half yr old.
She is going to apply for my Spousal Open Work Permit which includes me and our son.
I need to know what is the minimum funds requirement while she sponsors me and my son.
She is earning gross salary of approx CAD 5000 per month (without tax deductions).
She has about 12000 CAD in her Canadian bank account.
In India, in our individual and joint accounts we have 16000 CAD plus I have 30000 CAD investments in mutual funds.
I have a fixed asset of CAD 125000 in INDIA.
I heard that in students visa, they increased the GIC requirement to CAD 20000.
Is there any official fund figure from IRCC for spousal visa?
Are our funds enough?
