I think I've seen a few cases were people have gotten approved who don't make a lot/don't have jobs and live with there parents for the time being. I was just wondering if there was a lot of cases like that and if there's a good chance for approval. thanks
Depends on the case, I would imagine. For me, I am inland with my common-law partner. We both ive with his parents. In my case, this would prove that we are living together in a genuine relationship.
You both should be fine. They dont financially evaluate cases where there are no dependant children. You can use it to your advantage like I did. Use it as a good way to show you're both in a genuine relationship with letters, photos ect..It should not matter if you live in the US at the moment.
might be beneficial to have a letter from your spouse's parents saying they are willing/expecting to take you in too and provide basic support until you are able to find gainful employment... also a good idea to demonstrate your "employableness" (i.e provide job offers/transcripts ect ect anything that shows that you would be able to find a job without significant issue)... while spouses are LICO (low income cut off) exempt, applications can and have been denied if it is shown that neither spouse or applicant can/will make reasonable efforts to support themselves...
