How long the fund should be in the account?

I am planning to submit my application in July. I was wondering after I submit the application how long should I hold the fund in my account? Do I have to maintain the fund until I land in Canada?

its recommended to maintain the fund in the account till the time you land in canada.
because during the landing process also they will ask you for POF.
