Hello everyone
I have been working in Canada for last 7 months with a work permit restricted to location
Now I’d like to travel and wondering how can I stay outside of Canada without loosing the work permit. And can I continue working for the same company temporarily outside of Canada?
Thank you

You can stay outside of Canada as long as you want.

It's fine to work outside of Canada as long as your company allows this.

Note that the work you do outside of Canada will not count as Canadian work experience.

Thank you!
Do you know by any chance where I can read about this?
My company allows that but they are worried that it will have legal problems.
My LMIA and work permit have a location condition.

I don't know where you company can read about this.

But logically, the Canadian work permit is only for work done in Canada. The rules only apply while you are in Canada.

If you want to go work in another country, then you need to make sure that you follow the rules of that country and have the right residency or work permit there (or citizenship). Canada's rules and Canada's work permit with regards to working from another country are irrelevant.
