how long It take to Renew Indian Passport

Hi I applied for my passport renewal at BLS on Jan 27, 2014 & my Old passport was issued from Toronto
till today I did not get any response.
Any body has any idea how long they take to renew the passport

It took me 1month to get back your new passport from Vancouver I applied through bls edmonton
