Hi,
I studied DEP Accounting (1350 hours) and also ASP in Construction Business Management (450 hours) afterward, both are in french
After I graduate, how long is the Post Graduate Work Permit am I allowed to? Is it still 1 year (considered only the DEP program) or 3 years (combined program)?

Did you apply for the PGWP within 90 days of your DEP ending? I don't think your ASP qualifies.

Agreed with the above. You may have a problem on your hands if it's been longer than 90 days since your DEP program ended.

No, should I? I thought that I need to wait until I have the ASP diplome too, so that I have the proof of completing both program and the immigration office will give me the PGWP with the length of the combined programs (1350+450 = 1800 hours)

I have just finished my DEP in accounting, I will start the ASP program this November, expect to finish it in March 2016

Do you think I should apply for the PGWP within 90 days of my DEP?
If so, the length of my PGWP will only be 1 year. Afterward, if I finish my ASP program, will I be able to extend my PGWP or not?

hi lee ,
I m sorry i can't answer your whole thread but i can answer your last question only that your PGWP cannot be extended even if you will start to study again and the length of your PGWP will completly be on eligiblity criteria and VO's decision , rest you can find in the link below, just copy paste it. Good luck :)

I read this page through, but there is nothing about how the agent perceived the combined program
Actually I have tried to call the gov office, but they always send me back to the same website, which I have read the information

Is there any number or other website I could read to specify exactly the length of time of the combined program?

Hi Lee,

I recently had the problem of not being able to find the information on the Gov website pertaining to the "combined programs" that many others had talked about.

I also had a problem with a Border Officer only granting my friend a 1 year permit for her 2 combined programs. The officer only read from this page
cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-postgrad-who.asp

But the information pertaining to combined programs is on this page
cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/students/post-grad.asp

You will see a very short note on combined program eligibility under the "Other Considerations->Work permit issuance and validity" section

Hope this helps a bit

Hi,
then how is her case now? she is entitled to the combined length, so does she fight against the decision of the officer?
What does she do to extend the length of her Work Permit???

Hi Lee
I hope you will see my question.
I am in the same situation you were. Did you applied after compeletion of ASP? Did immigration accept your documents for 3 years work permit? Because the 90 days deadline for DEP will expire before the compeletion of ASP.
I am waiting for your response.
Thanks
