How long is a PR Visa valid for?

Hello All,

I will need to delay my landing a little. I was wondering how long is the permanent resident visa valid? Does my police certificate need to be valid when I'm landing?

There will be a enter by/expiry date on the COPR by which date you must enter Canada or lose the opportunity. Police certificates are not relevant once you have been approved.
