How long get response after submitting resume for software engineer jobs

Hi Guys,

I am a new comer with PR status. I am currently living in Toronto area and looking for a full-time Software Engineer position.

I really want to know usually how long people can get a response from the company when they submit their resumes. Like whether you will move forward, or get rejected. And any other ways to get a job in Canada besides apply by myself or get referred?

You don't always get a reply. Some companies will notify you if they aren't going to consider you for the job and some won't.

As for how long - anywhere from a few days to a few months. It varies widely.
