I've applied for a Canadian visa through the International Experience Canada pool and am wondering how long the period of time is from when/if I'm accepted to when I need to be in Canada. I understand that with the visa acceptance there will be a Port of Entry (POL) letter that says 'you need to be in Canada by XXXX'.

Can anyone with previous experience help me answer how long that is?

Thanks

The POE letter is usually valid for 12 months from date of issue so you need to land within that time period. Your IEC work permit will be issued valid from the date you land and have a validity based on the country you originate from assuming you land with full term insurance and proof of acces to 2500 CDN.

Thanks for your reply. That's very useful to know.
