I applied inland for my spouse. How long after I am accepted as a sponsor will it take for them to process his application? I know it varies a lot, but typically is it a few days, weeks, months?

Thanks!

Youre looking at 18-24 mths

I find that very hard to believe. I know someone who did it from 6 or 7 years ago and after the sponsor was accepted, they were calling for an interview to complete the process a few days later. The lady at the border said that it should only take a few days. I'm asking because of conflicting experiences and statements. The web site says 8 months at this time, but I would like to get other people's experience from within the last year.

6 or 7 years that is long ago...things change so often... I think CIC site should give you an approximate estimate

My best friend is currently sponsoring her husband who is here in Toronto and they are now at 14 months. She was approved for sponsorship within 2 mths and since the two months she is now at the 14 mth mark. 7 years ago was a very long time ago. A lot more people are trying to get landed now so of course it'll be longer. Because your spouse is already here in the country, they dnt rush it as much as your family is already together.
