Hi All,

I am not sure if i saw any post about approx days it takes to get Medical request after sending all the documents to Buffalo,NY.

regards

I dont think anyone who sent it after Dec 2008 got medical request yet (at least on trackitt).

I think they are sending August applicants medical request now.

@rupeshhari,

I believe somewhere in the cic website it says that the immigration office will have to review application/documents within 2/3 weeks after the 120 days deadline. what's up with that? Is it not true?

i don't know. some people say it is now taking about 60days but that could be with postal times. US postal times should be a lot faster. Mine was done in 3 weeks i think but i applied in dec, when there were fewer applicants.

Mine is 1 month.

Manila visa office received my full application on July 1. 60 days before the 120-deadline. Yesterday, July 30, I received my request for medical exam.

I don't think it's true that they will wait for the 120 days to pass to open your file. If you're in the fast track, under the 38 list, they will open your file and start processing once they receive it. Such is the case in our local visa office.

Dear Canadacanada,

You are right - the immigration office will have to review application/documents within 2/3 weeks after the 120 days deadline, but that is only for the purpose of holding back the processing fee by Canadian Govt. If CHC does not update the CIAP center within 2/3 weeks of expiry of 120 days, Canadian Govt could loose the valuable processing amount as the applicant may withdraw his application during this period. The OP-06 (instructions to processing officers) mentions something like that.

Somebody correct me?

Thanks.

Manj

No, I have had more than 45 days since my 120 days were up and they haven't touched my file (at last according to E-cas)

@rupeshhari,

Did you got the medical request...kinda confused from your posting..

no. i have sent in my documents which they got on Feb 10th (i think) and the only communication i have from the visa office is an AOR.
