My future husband and I are looking to be living in the same country some time next year. We have a trip planned to see each other this summer and are looking at getting married then so we can start the application process. He will likely only be in Ontario for a week and are trying to figure out if that is enough time to get the marriage license and what not done. Is this possible?
How long does it take to get married in Ontario?

You just need to walk into city hall and get the license, it's the cert that takes a while but that's after you're married.
