Hey there,

So, I got my PPR letter on October 21 from the New York VO, but I'm in Canada. They know I'm in Canada, they've known for months, the PPR letter has my Canadian address on it. Hell, my BIL and Medical exam letters from July have my Canadian address. So, how long does it take for the Visa Office to shift an application from their office to CPC Ottawa so a virtual landing can be done? Or am I screwed and do I have to send my passport and prepare to do a physical landing?

Hard to say for sure. I know two people who were in the same situation as you. Both sent a webform to IRCC to notify them that they were in Canada while waiting for their Outland PR to be processed.

One person waited for months in total before receiving P1, and eventually the PR card after 6 months (though they got the PPR letter).

The other waited about three months, but her husband reached out to their MP, and she received P1 a few days later. I am not sure if that was just a coincidence, as I have never personally worked with an MP myself.

Welp, I know what I'm doing tomorrow. Getting my husband to print off the form the MP's office wanted me to sign.
