how long does a work permit last for and is it possible to apply for permanent residency while on a work permit? how long does it take to apply for permanent residency and can a work permit be renewed while in Canada?

the validity of your work permit is stated on your work permit once you enter canada.....

and yes you can apply work permit in canada as long as you have a valid lmo for either from your current employer or from a new employer,,
