How long can a temporary worker work from outside Canada?

Hi! I plan to start working for a startup in Toronto with a closed work permit. While being a temporary worker, can I travel to my home country for a couple of months and work from there (as long as the company allows)? Are there any residency requirements from IRCC for temporary workers?

There are no residency requirements. It's up to you and the company.

You won’t be able to count the time outside Canada as working in Canada.
