No such data is available to gen public. CIC will definately inform through its website when the quota of 1000 is reached.

Thanks explorer

I am sure lots of people are worrying about this given the expenses and effort involved in getting the application and documentation pack ready.

Regards

I am planning to apply under 1122 in coming days. Tell me if 1000 cap is reached, what will be done for those application which will be ,received after that Will the authorities will return it or it will go in the basket for next year?

If 1000 cap is reached, you will get you package bacck and you need to apply next year again
Unfortunately there is no way to figure out how many applications have reached CIO so far under a particular NOC code

You should hurry to send you application. This figure of 1000 application is so low that it will be up in matter of few days. I even read about a person's application being returned because cap of that NOC was exhausted.

Didn't remember his NOC though

I suspect it would be real fast if the cap is determined upon the issue of AOR as seem to be implied from the following extract of the Ministerial Instruction & OP 6 - "A maximum of 20 000 Federal Skilled Worker applications, without an offer of arranged employment, will be considered for processing each year".

As for the comment by someone who had his or her application returned, I am not sure if it is the same thread which I had also read - but if it is, than I have my doubts from the very short turn round time the application was alleged to be sent and returned.

My advise to anyone who is still having second thoughts..dont wait any longer. Have you application submitted as soon as possible!

Have since chanced upon the Gazette notification of 26 June 2010. It states "In calculating the caps, applications will be considered in order of the date they are received. Applications received on the same date will be considered for processing having regard to routine office procedures". With this, the limit would be achieved real fast!

The notification is at http://canadagazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p1/2010/2010-06-26/html/notice-avis-eng.html#1
