Only for some NOC I believe...for example, if it says:
- Physicists usually require a master's or doctoral degree in a field of physics, engineering physics, or in a related discipline.
And you have a completely unrelated degree, with no sensible career path that leads up to your Physicist job, I think they will place serious doubts whether you are actually qualified to even be doing the work.
But yeah, I think for most NOC jobs if you are actually able to carry out the work, you're probably qualified and you shouldn't have to worry.
