Hey guys, I made a Youtube video explaining how I put my application together. I thought it would help a lot of people who are starting to compile their application. I know I spent my first few days/weeks just trying to figure out how I will organize it or how it will look when it's all done so if the video makes anyone else's work a bit easier I figured that's a good thing :)

It seems I can't post videos here so I don't really know how to share it with you guys, any suggestions?

You need to have a certain amount of posts before you can post links.

Until you can figure out how to post a link, why don't you give the title you have it under on You Tube and that way if someone wants to see it they can just search the title on you tube.

I sent it off at the end of October so I have just begun my waiting. I'm a Octoberian :P

I did my application a little different too..looked great I thought :)
I sent phone records for every three months, just so they could see it was consistant
I did my pictures in a collage from walmart-sent in 5 sheets (about 25-30 pictures per sheet)
One page cover letter-professing our love, he also did one up!
letters from my bank Manager-welcoming my husband to open an account when he arrives
then, the applications, recipts from wedding.. I didnt want to overdo it!
My friend hired a consultant and paid $5000, so I just went over hers! and kept it very simple! But....I'll have to let you know how that turns out!

Thanks for sharing Roham! Great initiative on your part, and one that should help a lot of folks who are struggling through the labyrinth of putting together the CIC application :)

I had lawyers quote me $5000 too! Seems too much when they just ask you all the same questions anyways.

Well good luck to us Octoberians. Hopefully we'll get approved as sponsors sooner then the posted 68 days:)

Wow, that's a serious thread! Thanks for the welcome:) I'll be spending a lot of time reading/catching up in that thread!:)

That's a great video...but it got me to wondering...my husband and I didn't separate out our proof of relationship into his and hers. I used folders, there was his application and assorted forms in one, and then his supporting documents in another, then my applications and forms in another, and all my supporting documents in another. Then just folder upon folder of proof, a folder of receipts, and then at the end a folder that contained letters, including one from him, and me.

Watching this I am beginning to wonder if I should have done it differently. At the time I thought it was quite clear, but now I am not so sure.

I just assumed that putting all the proofs together would be ok...in fact the shaded box on his questionnaire, we put all of that in the letter folder...I hope they find it. I guess at this point there is nothing we can do...ugh. I hate the second guessing.

But..that is a great video Roham. :)
