How easy is it to sponsor family after taking Canadian PR?

I get my CRS score as 442 if I don't take my wife and kids along. If I take her along, the CRS score dips to 425. The dip comes from the fact that she will not be taking the IELTS or any other language exam. Please advise on the late sponsorship as to how much time it takes to get you family sponsored if you have Canadian PR.

I checked CIC and it takes minimum a year to have your family in Canada. Is it possible to have them in Canada in a year's time? Also, as of now, don't see any hope of the score going to 420s the way the people are adding in the EE pool

Only Canadian PR living in Canada are eligible to sponsor their family........most spouse (with children as dependent) sponsorship application takes around 12months to complete.

Check your application status

I think its mandatory for the Principal Applicant to take the language test but nut sure its mandatory for the spouse, who may not earn points for language......if you could quality for EE, why not include your spouse and children and don't have to bother with sponsorship after PR.
