Well title says it all, how does short term courses work, that last less than 6 month? On CIC I've read that it does not require study permit. So All I need to do is get applied on a specific course and provide my financial background? Fill application online and wait for visa?

Correct - no study permit is required. If you are visa exempt, you can travel to Canada on your passport alone to take the course. If you are non-visa exempt, then you apply for a regular TRV (rather than a study permit).

Note that short courses do not qualify for Post Graduate Work Permits and you also cannot work during your studies.

So I suppose chances to get TRV are not high in that case. I thought about applying for an international law course for this winter and after I'd have finished, I would have applied for a 3 year Bachelor course in Calgary's university. (I'm currently a law student btw)
