How does getting employed as Temporary Foreign Worker in Canada works?

I have been working in Canada in the past 8 month as a Charitable Foreign Worker in a camp and now I would like to know how does getting employed as a Temporary Foreign Worker works here. I have been looking for informations on all the websites about immigration, I know about the LMO process and obtaining a Temporary Work Permit as well. However I would like to hear some personal stories, such as how did you get here and what kind of job did you find, also how long did it take to get an LMO and obtain a Temporary Work Permit, and from what point where you able to start working. I see jobs that are offering LMO-s but I have no idea what sort of circumstances I would go through if accepted to one from a personal view. So I would like to hear how did it work out for others what sort of experiences did they gain.
