Hi,

I am little confused, as to how does CIC know whether our application is inland or outland.

The forms appear to be same for inland and outland. And, what can we do, so that CIC knows, we are applying outland.

Please advise.

Thanks!

First you should print out the application package for OUTLAND if you want outland or INLAND if you want inland. They are similar, yes, but not EXACTLY the same. You will also be checking the box indicating an outland application and indicating which visa office is to be the processing office.

I would suggest you begin by THOROUGHLY examining your application package of choice and familiarizing yourself with the questions and indications on each form.

Thank you for your reply.

I have downloaded the package, and have seen guides 3900 and 3999, I have also read where to send papers. It does say what kind of sponsorship package it is (Indicate whether this is a spousal, common-law, conjugal or dependent children sponsorship). But, where do I specify that it's an outland package. I do not see anywhere, where I would need to indicate this. Please help.

Thank you.

First of all, what do you want to apply as? Inland or Outland?

If you are applying OUTLAND, Just make sure you are printing out OUTLAND package PDFs from the website and you should be fine! Don't worry about it. They will see your spouse's Passport being from India and they will send it to New Delhi.

If you have any questions specific to New Delhi visa office, please post on these threads and don't create new threads.

Thank you so much for your help! I will be posting in new-delhi-2016 thread. Appreciate your help :)

On this web page from the CIC website, there is a choice:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse-apply-how.asp
The inland application is the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada - Spouse or Common-Law Partner. The outland application is the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class. Just click on the correct link, and you will have the right forms.

I'm 99% sure there isn't a tick box indicating Outland or Inland. Just different application forms.

I also wrote Outland, on the front of the 1st Envelope.

Hi there, I've been through all the forms and fields, but i don't see a place where i can indicate which visa office to be the procession office. Please let me know!

The applicant no longer has the option of selecting/requesting a specific visa office; CIC makes the decision now.
