Hey guys, wondering if someone has any insight on how CIC checks Canadian work experience? What is the process in place? Do they just refer to the employment letter that was provided with NOC, duties outlined and other employment records? My main question is: do they call the employer for verification? And if so, who will they be speaking with and what are the questions they might ask?
The company I work at is well established, with over 50 full time employees, has been in business for 10 years and has previously sponsored people for their PR, so it is in good standing with CIC. Is it normal practice for them to call the employer and confirm duties outlined in the employment letter or is it only done in exceptional cases where they want to check the validity of the company?
