I am writing this letter according to my application as a visitor visa to Canada.
I will be travelling in Toronto from 2015-11-07 to 2015-11-19 with my wife Flladjona Bahollari. First anniversary of our marriage completed in September and we decided to visit your country in next November after we heard about poetic Toronto fall.
We have booked a double room in “Comfort Hotel Airport North” and our flight tickets from Turkish airlines, we did not complete the payment yet, awaiting for your confirmation on our application.
During our stay in Toronto, we are planning to visit Niagara Falls, CN Tower, Downtown Yonge, High Park, Royal Ontario Museum , Canada's Wonderland, Toronto Zoo, Ripley's Aquarium of Canada, joining City Sightseeing and a trekking tour on Heart Lake Conservation Area in Brampton. We would like to watch a baseball or hockey game. Another attraction for us to visit Toronto its multicultural cuisine, and flamboyant nightlife.
I want to point out an additional vital reason about my desire to visit Toronto; I have an interest in photography, I publish a personel webpage, xxx.com and I put my photo shots and articles about my travels. I also share my photos on social media,
twitter. com/xxx and facebook com/xxx
I am planning to publish a book in the future about my travels and Toronto will be one of the most interesting part of it.

Canada's Wonderland is closed at that time of the year. Too cold.

If you search a little there are great examples of letters that you can use as examples. Really cic wants to know you can support yourself while you are here and the reasons that will make them believe that you will go back to your home country or leave Canada.

I would agree.

It seems you want to convince CIC you are in love with Canada. CIC already knows Canada is a beautiful country, so that is quite pointless.

You letter has to be more into the facts. What are you going to do, when, how, etc. mention evidence attached: e.g. as proof we attach out hotel booking (all other detail is really just noise). Also the "itinerary" seems too vague... you are going to be 2 months around? you basically mentioned all the hotspots in the area, as is I wouldn't think of that as an itinerary.

There are plenty of examples in the web, look for them.

Also don't pay too much attention on the letter of explanation. What really matters is the supporting documentation. In fact the documentation should speak by itself, if you need to explain it that is not a good sign.

Thanks a lot, my application is confirmed but unfortunately my wife's rejected. Do you think is it better to apply for her one more time with an employment letter and a better bank statement letter?

Another question is it a mistake to apply for a student visa in a short time after visitor visa application?

Thanks a lot people :D

1. Which countries have you travelled to that are comparable to Canada in economy/visa regime e.g US/ UK/ Germany etc? Rationale is that if these countries issued you a visa that you used then returned home you are less likely to overstay in Canada.

2. What's your immigration status in the country you applied for the Canadian visa? Are you working in a country that's not your citizenship country? E.g Canada typically bounces visit visa applicants from say the sub continent who are working in the Middle East on ongoing/renewable work permits. This on the basis that they have no definitive immigration status in the ME and their WPs can be revoked any time.

3. Do you have kids or parents at home? Are they minors/ under your care respectively? Such are deemed family ties that may convince you to return home.

4. How much is this trip costing you compared to your annual income? Is it consistent? If its costing you say USD 10K but you earn USD 20K then who spends half their income travelling to Canada for sightseeing? I think there may be some inference by the visa post that you could end up working as a freelance type photographer - you mention photography and wanting to write a book etc. Photography yes but writing a book is needless information.

5. Is your job full time? How long have you held this job? Or are you self employed? If self employed well you can conduct your business while hanging out in Canada.

Obtain GCMS notes via the ATIP process to get more details on the refusal. Re-applying without addressing the actual issue as opposed to the generic comments above may end up being a waste of money.
