how do we receive the COPR-through CIC account or by post?

Hi all

I had applied for the express entry PR visa by myself in May and I am now awaiting the return of my Passport with Visa stamping (via VFS). I woud like to thank all in the Canadavisa forum for their helpful guidance and support, without which I would not have been able to reach so far.

I, however, would require one more help in clearing my doubt regarding The COPR document, which we are supposed to be carrying to Canada. I would like to know how we would be receiving it. Would the CIC office be mailing to me by post or would it be updated in my CIC account (to take printout).

Mail. CoPR is a physical document you will get by mail and you will need to carry the original with you when landing and keep it in a safe place afterwards.

Would CIC inform me before they courier the Document....Just want to ensure so that I would not miss it in case I am not in town when it arrives.

u will get two CoPR copies one for them one for u. CoPR will say not to sign it until ur asked during entry in Canada so do not sign it before hand. When they mail u this letter they do not send u a tracking number. Only thing is ur MYCIC account will show application approved. It normally takes 2-4 weeks to get the Passport back with CoPR after it has reached them if its Ottawa if not it depends on ur location
