Hi so I'm and Irish citizen living in Canada with my family for about a year now. My study permit just arrived but it says I cannot work unless authorized, how do I get the authorization and work part time??? Urgent Please help!!

It sounds like your study permit is done under the old rules.
Here's what I did to fix that:
1) Call them. They will do an amendment, which takes around a month
2) Take the new study permit down and get a SIN
3) Go work
As long as your study permit says that you can't work, you can't work.
