Hello, I have been searching for information after getting stuck on our paper work. My husband and I live in the US. I am a Canadian citizen and he is American. We would like to apply for his permanent residency while continuing to live together in the US. This sounds so normal to me, but the application form doesn't seem to include this scenario and I can't seem to find any information for our situation online. Help!

It's right in the checklist under 5. Class of Application.

You'd be applying under the family class.

What kcward said. It is called outland spousal sponsorship and it is very common. See IMM5533, item 5. Class of Application, then the second indented box down that says 'I am currently living outside Canada and I am applying under family class'
