How do i get my electrical trade recognised

Hi All

Myself and my partner are just about to move to Canada, she is Canadian and I'm Australian. I'm a electrician by trade and would like to know how i go about getting my trade recognised over there? I am also just about to finish my certificate 3 in instrument and Controls which will make me a dual trader does this help?
