Hello Members

I have applied for PR under CEC from within Canada but now I have left Canada and in India at the moment. I had sent an email at Address-Change@cic.gc.ca to change my address from Canadian to Indian.

It has been like 3 months and I have already sent them emails twice about the change but I am not seeing my new address when I try to log in online and check my application status.

Am I missing something? How do I get my address changed?

Frequently asked questions

Please e-mail us (OttPilot-Immigration(at)cic.gc.ca) in any of the following cases:

You change your marital status
There is a birth or death in your family.
You change your mailing, residential or e-mail address if you reside outside of Canada**.

**If you reside in Canada, you must use the CIC’s online form to change your contact information.

It is up to you to keep your contact information up-to-date. If you do not keep your contact information up-to-date, it could delay the processing of your application. Please quote your complete application number (letter “E”, “EP” or “F” ) followed by eight or nine digits in all correspondence with our office.

Try that.

Thanks for your reply but I believe this information is true in case of Temporary Resident Visa applications from within Canada.

What iamroth gave you is the email address for CPP Ottawa which is where your file is being processed - it's not the email for trv but for CEC so that is correct

You have been emailing the other address and not got any response. CIC also gave you that address but you know it hasn't been working.

So why don't you give iamroth's suggestion a try? This email address was on the website which is more likely to be more correct than a call centre

Sorry for not letting know in my earlier post that I have anyways forwarded my email to the suggested email address.

Thanks for the help.

True that. I was changing mine as well when I moved for a new job...sent an email to CPP-O and updated on eCAS as well. CPP-O emailed me back in 1 week and said that its been attached to my file and eCAS shows updated address as well after I think 2-3 weeks.

Are you serious?
I answered your question
In case you weren't satisfied with that, you should read this thread

Use CICs online system to change your address:

It will take some time about 2 weeks for them to update your address.

Hello All

*** UPDATES ***

This is to let you know that I sent an email for address change to OttPilot-Immigration(at)cic.gc.ca and they responded back the next day saying that the address will be updated in the file.

Then after 2 days, when I checked my online status on the ecas, my mailing address was updated.

Thanks everyone for the help.

Great, thanks for the update! I'm still waiting for CIC to update my address. Maybe some cases take longer for
some mysterious reason. LOL
