Hi every body,
I sponsored my husband and son last month. I am a returning permanent resident, and was unemployed when I applied. I have shown bank balance which I transfered from my home when I returned as the proof that I can bear expenses of my family. I also show balance in our joint account, which I will transfer when my spouse will be approved, and my income of the last two years in my home country.
Now my question is do you think I will be eligible as a sponsor?
Right now I got a part time jojb and started to work from the last week. Is there any way I can send the copy of my pay slips, or employment letter to CIC-M? I sent application on sept 28 and they have not yet started processing.

Is there any one who can give me advice what I should do right now?
Thanks

Yes, you are eligible even if no income. But you need to show how you and your family going to live, so if going to plan eat your savings, a sound bank balance is enough.

spousal sponsorship is exempt from income requirement. I had the same case as yours. I was not working when I applied for my wife few months back, but I had shown enough bank balance and previous pay stubs from last 2 years. I started working after a couple of weeks of mailing in the application. But I did not send any additional document. My sponsorship has been approved last week.

there is no use of sending them any additional document at this time unless your file is in process as you do not have nay file number or application number which they can track and attach those additional documents to your file..so better not to interfere with the process.

You can always send it to your VO once your sponsorship application is approved as they can track your file very easily.

In your case I would doubt as you have a dependent in your application which makes it a regular application and you might need to meet minimum income requirement for 3 persons including yourself. I am not very sure about it but you can try callin CIC and make it clear.

Good luck

You don't need to show a minimum income for a spouse and dependent child, either.

Send the updated information to the visa office once they receive your file. This means they will see that you are capable of providing for their needs when they are approved, so no Section A39 concerns need to apply.

CPC-M has no way of matching up information for the same file sent days/weeks apart. They will only retain the original file long enough to approve the sponsor, so hold the additional info until it goes to the visa office.

Thanks a lot every one foryour advice. I know there is no minimum income for spouse and dependent child. I am worried bcz I did not live in canada after being PR, no job and did not file tax. I filed sponsorship within two weeks after coming canada and without a job.

Okay then I have no other option . I have to wait for their decission. I wish I would be approved!!
