Hi peers!

to make the story short, I paid my 2nd year tuition in October starting classes in November and I became PR on December 5th. I have put in touch with College asking about my refund. They just answered me according with their rules I have no right to refund, that next coming year I'll pay as a PR.. It's just no fair from any angle. I just wondering if there is any way to complaint and they give me my money back? It's incredible I had paid one entire year as an International Student.

Any help!

Nothing unfair. You will pay domestic fees after December 15.

You can attempt to take the issue higher up within the college but they are under no requirement to refund you the difference in tuition, nor can anyone force them to refund you.

you will not get that back, however, the college usually issue a Tax receipt and you claim your tuition back in your income tax...and you will get a tax credit.
