Hi all

Hypothetically, if my children (minors ages 10 & 11) who are dual nationals (British and Canadian) were living in Canada and I want to move to Canada to be with them what are my best options.

I am a UK citizen aged 33. I have qualifications and experience class 0 and a & b on the NOC list. I have a families house to live in rent free until I can pay my own way but they are not classed as family for the purpose of immigration. I have a potential job offer but uncertain if the employer will pass the LMIA as there isint really any reall reason why the job cant be done by a Canadian as opposed to me.

Also on a seperate issue, I am travelling to see family and friends etc for 3 months in Canada and want to travel again for a 4 week stay after only returning home for 3 weeks - is this allowed?

If anyone has any input it is much appreciated.

To move to Canada permanently, you must apply for PR. If you have suitable education/job experience, then look at Express Entry.

You can visit anytime, and in any frequency, as long you maintain ties to the UK and don't make CBSA think you're trying to live here.

Canada has a number of different immigration programs. You'll need to research them to see what it takes to qualify and apply. Details can be found here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp I would recommend you start by researching the Express Entry program.

Having minor children in Canada who are Canadian citizens give you no advantage.
