so me and my girlfriend of eight years are planning to get married this month. i am US permanent resident and she is granted as an immigrant in canada. (soon after we register our marriage, she is going to have me in her PR app.)
i know that if i apply for her in us , she cannot live here while she is waiting for her green card. but can i live there while i am waiting for my PR in canada?
on CIC website says yes, but the lawyer i talked to said no .the reason was because he said, it makes a difference how she got her current status.for instance, work, refugee, etc.... does that really matter as long as she is already granted as an immigrant? i am confused and desperate to hear c at least some advice.
thank you all for your time,
