How can I invite my girlfriend/conjugal partner

I came to Canada 2 years ago as a Student and now working and have a valid open work permit till 2017, I want my girlfriend/conjugal partner to come and live with me, what are my options and how can I prove it, can someone with suggest how to go about with this application process and share your experiences if you applied as well for you conjugal partner.

In general you could only get your partner here with a work permit if you were officially married or common-law. To get a conjugal partner here you would need to prove it was impossible for you to get married (perhaps if she was from Philippines so couldn't get divorced from ex-partner).

You would have to get married first. Then your girlfriend can try applying for either a TRV or OWP. If you have any further questions you should post them to the Foreign Wokers or International Students section of the forum.

If you don't wish to get married, then your girlfriend will have to come to Canada on her own merits.
