Hey guys,
I am residing in Canada and currently in the process of sponsoring my wife whos in India.
The only document which is giving us nightmares is the Marriage Certificate. Our marriage was a traditional one and we did not think about getting the marriage certificate at that time ( i wish i had!).
We do have a proof from the religious authority who performed all the marriage rites. It is authorized as well.
I am just wondering ...will that be enough?? Do i really need a marriage certificate??
The problem is..I am in Canada and to get the Marriage Cert. one has to be present physically in the country where the marriage took place. So does it mean I have to travel all the way to India to sign my marriage certificate??? I relaly hope NOT.!
Please advise.
Thanks.
