Hello,

A couple days ago I checked mycic and I saw that my application has been approved. I haven't received my COPR yet though.
Does anybody know when and how they will send my the COPR??

Can I already fly to Canada without it or do I have to wait till I receive thw letter. ? How long does it usually take

We applied outland and our VO was Vienna and I have a Dutch passport

Thanks

It gets sent by mail. Timelines vary by VO. I've seen anywhere from a few days to a month or more. Check the thread for Vienna to see what people have experienced there.

You can go visit if you'd like, but you would have to either flagpole or make an appointment at an IRCC office to land as a PR once you get your COPR.

Wot she / he said!

You would not normally be able to land as PR without the paper COPR. There have been instances where this has been done, but only where considerable time has elapsed - 2 months or more and the applicant was able to prove correspondence with the VO and that the CIOPR had obviously gone astray and they were in danger of running past the expiry date.

It took mine 3 days to arrive but that was from London to an address in the UK. Crossing borders over the Christmas period? Maybe 3 - 5 weeks, who knows.

As you are Dutch (are you?), note that you would need an ETA - although with your COPR, CBSA would be happy for you to land without one, the airlines probably would not allow you to board without an ETA, as they generally do not yet seem to understand COPR's etc!!! Anyway, it is very easy to get one and cheap enough.

Once you have your COPR in your hand, then you can take a one way flight, but again care, as many (but not all) airline actually charge you more overall for a one-way flight than they do for a return (No, I didn't believe this either until I tried a few airlines!). One of the exceptions being Air Transat. So might be best to book an open return and not use the return part.
