How Age points are calculated..

Hello Everybody,

Hope you are doing good.

I have got question in my mind.. and am sure that I can get answer on this lovely forum.

As per updated norms on CIC website, an applicant will get points based on following age brackets.

Age Points
Under
18 0
18-35 12
36 11
37 10
38 9
......................
....................

My query is if application reaches at CIC on 25 Sep'13 and on this particular date age of Main applicant is 36 Years 8 Months. How much points he/she will get 11 or 10 ?????

Or similarly 37 Yrs 2 monts etc...

This is just to better understand the requirements....
Please provide your opinion on this.

Simply because its hard to give a definit answer. Its only people who receive a NER that could give insite into how the age thing is calculated. I remember someone posted here that his age was 35 years and about 4 months but was calculated as 36 years which made him fall short by 1 point as he thought it would be calculated as 35 years so that made him to receive a NER.

but again this is actually a general question... how 35 Yrs4 Months of age can be considered as 36 Yrs ? right?

in normal walk of life as well it cannot be considered as 36... if am not wrong..

More inputs/dicsussion is required around this....
 
For 36 yrs + months , u will get 11 points
For 37 yrs + months , u will get 10 points

Perfect... Thanks coolguy.. are you sure about this, as mentioned above someone's file was rejected becuase of this
 
Yes, it is 100% sure......the guy who got rejected may over calculated the points for his age
