Hi,
"Hold" option means you may place your reservation on hold for the first 24 hours for free.... if you wish to hold your reservations beyond the first 24 hours then you may have to pay to keep this reservation. Hold charges are non-refundable. Check with the airline/travel booking website.
You can submit a travel itinerary or "hold" tickets with your visa application.... mention these are provisional tickets (not booked/not confirmed)..... that will be confirmed after your TRV is issued
