Hi everyone,

I'm planning to study in Canada in the next Winter on 2023. I've been diagnosed as HIV+ for over 1 year and being on treatment as well as being undetectable so far. 3 years ago, I got a BEng degree with an acceptable GPA (3.3 out of 4.0). Now I want to change my domain to work as a software developer, so I'm considering to choose this major. Does my HIV status have any bad impact my visa? I really need some information, please help. Thanks.

hi friend
How is your visa going?
I am in the same situation as you .
I have been hiv+ for 8yrs,and I'm thinking about if I can get a study permit by SDS too.
I checked the website https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...sibility/reasons/medical-inadmissibility.html
It didn't mention HIV+ is absolutely banned, so I'm going to try to apply before 2024-1 .
If you succeed, could you update some information?
My English is not good,sorry.
Thank you!
