Hi.
I'm a Cameroonian missionary in the phillipines. I will be in Canada soon for a missionary seminar and wish to know if I can file for asylum once I enter Canada. Reason being after the short missionary seminar, I can't go back home to Cameroon because of I'm being forced to join a political group there and have been tagged wanted .
Thank you for your prompt answers.

You can certainly apply for asylum. None of us can tell you if you will be approved or not.

Note that you will need a TRV to come to Canada for the seminar.

Why not claim asylum in the Philippines?

Would consult a lawyer before you apply. A negative asylum clapping will lead you to be returned to Cameroon and you will have difficulty travelling. If you knew you were in danger you should have claimed asylum in the Philippines which will be one of the arguments against your case.
