Dear friend,

My friend sister has recently got permanent resident of canada as a spouse of principle applicant. Now he want to apply for permanent resident. His sister is now at outside after gettig permanent resident card and proof of landing. She will b staying at outside canada for next 2-3 years. I want to inqure....
1. can he get points on adaptability from sister( point 5)............... His brother in law ( spouse of same sister) is staying in canada.

I will b greatful for all of ur reply.

yes provided that frnd of urs provides proof of relationship, proof of status and proof of residency, he will get the 5 pts for adaptability

Can he get even if her sister in not now at canada.? Ya he has got relationship certificate and other certificate.

He will only receive points if she is actually living in Canada. Just having PR won't be enough. He will have to send proof to demonstrate that she is actually living in Canada in order to qualify for the points (e.g. house bills, taxes, rental agreement, etc.).

But his brother in law is acutely staying in canada........ Sister is now studying at outside canada.... She went there and spend 2 months and returned .........

The brother in law is not a qualifying relative for adaptability. See:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/factor-adaptability.asp

He needs to be able to prove that his sister is living in Canada.
