Hello everyone :) i just wanna ask questions about applying inland or outland, me and my boyfriend will be marrying soon and i live with him in Canada, im on a work permit til dec 2015 , can we apply outland even im here living with him in canada? Can u please give me the site :) thank u very much .

yes, an applicant can be in canada and submit an outland application.

whether it's better to apply inland vs. outland depends on where the applicant is from. In some situations, it's quicker to apply outland, even if the applicant is in canada on a work permit. In other cases, it will be quicker to apply inland. So in order to help you more, we would need to know where your home country is.

Hi thank u for ur reply, im from the Philippines

You must be married or common law partner with tangible & continuous relationship proof. Outland would be a good choice but senior member will suggest if you are permitted to work with outland application. I know that with inland application you can work and you have implied status. But with inland you will have to remain in Canada the entire processing time unless you have a multiple TRV. Inland takes almost double time. Please see all the possibilities before taking final decision. Good luck!

Thank u Hasan :) i have a valid work permit til dec 2015 so i think i can still work even if we apply outland :)

Yes, you can be in Canada on a work permit and apply outland. I did it, too.
Average processing time for the Philippines is 14 months. If you apply before October 2014 you should receive your visa before your work permit expires

Hi if my boyfriend and i will get married do we need to fill up that common law declation form??
