Hi,

Do you know exactly if elementary public schools accept children enrollment in december.

Please help, I need the answer urgently :)

Best regards

i have a friend who arrived in Canada in May and her children were still allowed to enroll in school even if there's only a few weeks left in the school year. Also, you can visit the website of the school board where you plan to settle and send them an email about your question. I am sure they will respond to your query.

That's what I did and I was told that my daughter can enroll as soon as she arrives eventhough the school year has already started, they even provided information on how to register and enroll my daughter in an ESL program.

School admission in Public Schools in Canada is a matter of right, at any time one can get kids adnmitted. At any time one can get transfer also. No charges.

Dear Friends,

I am in the process of moving to Toronto this summer. I would really help if landed immigrants can share their experience with getting admissions for thier kids in elementary public schools in Toronto.

I know that SChools do ask for Vaccination records. I am interested in knowing if there are any other specific documents that we need to carry for admitting our kids to elementary public schools.

Thanks,
Chintu

1. Immunization Record/s.
2. School's Transfer Certificate.
3. Birth Certificate/s.
4. Your Lease Contract copy.

That's about it.

Have a safe & happy journey.
