Hi. How are you all? First forum post here (Forgive my mistakes). I want to gain some information regarding internship in Canada. I am currently doing bachelors in petroleum engineering in Malaysia. Next year is my internship. It will begin in late 2020. My nationality is Pakistani but I am a student in Malaysia doing petroleum engineering bachelors. So given my background, I would like to know the following things:
A - Will I be considered eligible for an internship in Canada?
B - If yes, then will I have to secure an internship in Canada first and then apply for a visa?
C - What is the time duration for the visa process?
D - After securing an internship in Canada, will there be a chance that my visa might be rejected?
E - How early should I start applying for Internship in Canada concerning my situation?

Unfortunately you should assume it will be extremely difficult / next to impossible to secure an internship in Canada because of the process your employer must go through (LMIA process) in order for you to qualify for a work permit. I would recommend you forget about finding an internship in Canada and focus on other countries.

I would also research the current state of the oil and gas industry in Canada and whether there are jobs if you are thinking of eventually immigrating. The industry continues to struggle in Canada.
