Ok I posted a similar question in the PR section but on hindsight it is not very applicable there.
My question is this. I currently have a PR card which expires in July 2015. However, I am currently studying in the US with a graduation date in May 2015. I will not be able to fulfill my residency requirement. However, can I apply for a job with my PR status (because I will apply for a job before/immediately after I graduate when the PR card is still technically good) and then switch to a work permit thereafter? Then somewhere down the road, apply for PR again under Skilled Worker category?
