I am a student and my college is going on a official break for 4 months from january to april.
I just want to know can I work 2 jobs of 40 hours each (i.e. 40+40=80hours) per week legally in my official break.

My college immigration officer is saying that you are not allowed to do that because you are not on open work permit and it is not written anywhere to work 80 hours.


I am comfused what to do now..

I believe all visa including the US says during a scheduled break we can work up to 40 hrs a week. Don't risk it. Just do 40 hrs a week to avoid jeopardizing your future.

1. This is Canada, not the US. There are no restrictions on working hours during a scheduled break, there is only the restriction of not more that 20 hours during the semester.

This information is easily findable on immigration website so your advisor is very bad at their job.

But still the question is same. It is mentioned that i can work full time which i already studied in this but full time means 30 -40 hrsbut i just want to do two jobs of 40 hours each and is not written whether I can do this or not.

If you were limited to 40 hours, that would be specifically stated, just as they specifically state that 20 hours is allowed while studying. There is no hour limit to full-time.
