Hi all! We barely get over our first bad experience with a Cebu agency for our first spousal application and now we're facing another unfortunate event of our lives as a new married couple. My husband the sponsor, has just been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer while our 2nd application is being prepared by a Canada based immigration consultancy. Will they give us a visit visa ASAP? Thank you very much in advance.

I'm very sorry to hear about your husband. Unfortunately IRCC will not expedite the application due to illness. You can expect normal processing times for your PR application. You can certainly try applying for a TRV to visit him in Canada. Unfortunately the chances of the TRV being approved are quite low.

YEs agreed with above reply. Sympathy is sadly missing even if some 1 dies. A mother was refused a VISA when her son died she was not allowed to attend or see her sons last face. :( Later on a birthdays celebration she was given a Visa. Hope some1 will make changes for genuine cases

Thanks for your insights Scylla And singleman.. this would be very sad, maddening ANd very cruel if they refuse me a TRV.

If you do end up applying for a TRV, make sure you keep your requested trip short 2-3 weeks and show very strong ties to your home country (e.g. employment, property ownership, assets). You want to make sure it doesn't look like you are using the TRV to try to move to Canada early.

This is when they should make some exceptions with cases like yours. Your hubby just got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and you need to be by his side, we all know that at stage 4 it's just a matter of time. I would try to do everything in your power to get your message through. Call CIC and explain to them to situation, send webforms, send a fax to Mississauga. Send proof that your hubby got diagnosed with stage 4, DR's letter. Get on it Dear.... Even write a letter to the Honorable Justin Trudeau and the Minister of Immigration Ahmed Hussen. Who knows that maybe they will grant you some sort of Visa. I hope you could be by his side ASAP, I know Canadians could be heartless sometimes but in these type of cases, I'm sure they will help you somehow. Sorry about your current situation.
