That all depends on where you filed your application. Is it out of the 'normal' timelines posted on the CIC website? MP's can usually look into situations once they are past stated processing times, but only if they weren't taken out of the normal stream because of an interview or other application issues.
i dont know if it still normal on the processing times, it's been 16 months now to be exact.. it supposed to be 14 months according to the site that i read, but our papers are almost over due.. the papers was filed in Manitoba.

Usually, it goes in the Missassauga office. But then, you have to make sure. And yes, Manila VO only stands at 14 months. You can use this to find your MP.

From your timeline I see that they've had your passport for almost a year now? Is that the case? That's a long time for them to have the passport after passport request
Also the time line starts after your received Sponsorship Approval....when did you receive that? That is when you would start the 14 month count
yeah it's almost a year now since they requested for passport. one of the MP's phoned them and they told me that the background is still on the pending review....
woah! i don't know if whats going on... maybe because of my husband is a policeman back home? i don't know what to think anymore...
That's strange. What I would do is to order my file notes (CIAPS/GCMS). You will know what is cooking in your file.
There are two ways to do that.
1. Any Canadian Citizen or Permanent resident can request online on behalf of anyone (Fee5$)
2. Use website who charge 40-50$ (Just google them)
I will explain option 1.
arrange 4 things first:
1. your scan PR card or PP copy
2. credit card
3. Scanned Consent form of release of info signed by your spouse
here is link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5744E.pdf
4. his/her copy of passport
